Makinde has been confirmed as the most suitable leader for PDP.
News Rain reports that the Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who is also a member of the Federal House of Assembly, representing Obokun and Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State has thrown his weight behind the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde towards becoming the leader of the People’s Democratic Party in South West.
Hon. Wole Oke has said that Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde was the best person that should lead the party in the South West going by norms and traditional as the only sitting governor in the zone.
Oke In a statement that was made available to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday noted that by convention and practices, Makinde, “who is the only PDP governor in the South West, emerges as the leader of the zone.”
He appealed to the loyal and committed member of the PDP family not to challenge the noble arrangement in the overall interest of the party.

According to Hon. Oke who explained why Makinde should be the leader, said, “aside convention and practices he brings on board decency, finesse, humility, and decorum. He cares and loves his fellow party men.
“He’s educated, deep and exposed. He has a lot of experience and core professionals before coming into power. We can gain a lot from him.” Oke stressed.
Oke, however, urged leaders from the zone to support Makinde’s leadership for the progress and unity of the Party ahead of the 2023 general Elections.
Hon. Oke in his statement appealed to the PDP to maintain caution in the choice of who will be the leader of the party in the zone.
