Hunters Flush Out Bandits, Kidnappers In Bauchi, Arrest Many
Officers and Men of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, NHFSS, Monday night, January 22, 2024, stormed a den of bandits in Bauchi state.
The NHFSS operatives arrested many suspects, confiscated their weapons, and set many captives free.
The NHFSS operatives have continued to do exploits, complementing the work of the Police, the Army, the DSS, and other security agencies in the fight against crimes and criminalities across the 36 states and the FCT.
Over the weekend, the NHFSS operatives raided criminal hideouts in Kogi, Kebbi, and FCT where they rescued many kidnap victims and arrested the criminals whom they handed over to relevant security agencies.

The NHFSS operatives play major roles especially in intelligence gathering, using their special training and familiarity with local terrains as most of them are recruited from their immediate villages and clans. They therefore see their duty as a call to protect the nation and their relatives, therefore the commitment and vigour with which they carry out their duties.
It is believed that if all citizens join hands with the federal government, in the spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, Nigeria would sooner than later, defeat the enemies of the nation and take back our country. This is our prayer.
We therefore commend the Commander General of the NHFSS, Dr. Wole Joshua Osatimehin for his leadership direction that is driving the Officers and Men of the Service to do exploits as well as Dr. John Metchie, the Deputy Commander General (Technical Services) for coordinating logistics and strategies leading to these great contributions of NHFSS to national security and development
