Nigerian Army Releases Names Of Shortlisted Candidates For DSSC Course 29/2026

The Nigerian Army has released the list of shortlisted candidates for DSSC Course 29/2026.

NewsRain Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Army has released the list of successful candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 recruitment.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed on Monday by the Military Secretary (Army), directing shortlisted candidates to report for training at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State, by 9:00 a.m. on February 22, 2026.

According to the statement, applicants are to check their status on the Nigerian Army recruitment portal: https://recruitment.army.mil.ng.

“The Nigerian Army is pleased to inform the general public that the list of successful candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board is now available on the NA recruitment website,” the statement said.

Shortlisted candidates are required to report to the Selection Board venue with the following items:

1. Writing materials

2. Four copies of recent coloured passport photographs

3. Four copies of recent full-size coloured photographs (standing position in a suit), with the following details written at the back:

4. Surname

5. First name

6. Other names

7. Date of birth

8. Service number (for serving personnel only)

9. Current unit (for serving personnel only)

10. Scratch cards for online verification of WAEC and/or NECO results

11. Three plain white short-sleeve vests

12. Three pairs of blue shorts

13. One pair of canvas shoes or trainers and three pairs of white socks

14. Bucket and toiletries

15. Set of cutlery, including plate and drinking cups

16. Beddings, including blankets, bedspreads, mosquito net and pillowcases

The Army advised candidates to comply strictly with the instructions to avoid disqualification.
