Edo Election:150 NSCDC Personnel Deployed For Saturday Guber Election

NSCDC has deployed 150 officers to Edo State for the governorship election.
News Rain has gathered that the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed not less than 150 armed personnel to Edo State towards ensuring that the State is well secured ahead of the gubernatorial election slated for this Saturday.

The 150 armed NSCDC officers, according to the statement signed by the State Corps Public Relation Officer, Corps Marshal Olusegun Oluwole, which was made available to newsmen in Ibadan the Oyo State Capital stated that they will be in Edo State to complement other security personnel that has already been drafted to Edo State for the gubernatorial election.
The statement quoted the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya while addressing the personnel before embarking on a journey to Edo State, and urged them to be the ambassador of their homes and exhibit professionalism in discharging their duties during the election.
He stated further that as a security agent they must ensure free, fair, and credible elections devoid of Bribery, Rigging, and Hijacking of the Ballot Boxes by Hoodlums anywhere they were posted.
Commandant Iskilu urged the 150 officers to synergize with all other Security Agencies and protect youth corpers, electoral officers, electoral material, the citizens, and government properties.
