Since his declaration came to light, other interested aspirants have started making their intentions known to the public too.

Among all, one aspirant who caught the attention of everyone is Khadija Okunnu-Lamidi, a female politician who has the ambition of taking over from President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi is a Nigerian, media personality and daughter of former commissioner, late Lateef Olufemi Okunnu, SAN. Her mother is a successful businesswoman who hails from Ago-Owo.

She is the founder of Slice Media Solutions, a top advertising agency in Nigeria.

He was born in Lagos State alongside her siblings into a wealthy family with a legacy of public service.

Early Life and Education
Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi was born in Lagos State into the family of Lateef Femi Okunnu (SAN), the President of Isale-Eko descendants Union and an elder statesman.

Khadijah’s mother, Arinola Omololu, is a businesswoman hails from Ago-Owu pedigree.

She attended the University of Lagos Staff School & Childville School Yaba for her primary education then proceeded to Atlantic Hall School Maryland for her secondary education.

She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Hons) from the University of Bolton RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Khadijah also earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM) from the prestigious Heriot-Watt University, Dubai.

The 38-year-old moved back to Lagos to undergo the mandatory NYSC programme where served at a Lagos State Government School.

Career
After her NYSC programme, Khadijah got her first job at the age of 16 at a Lekki Motherless Babies Home where she was introduced to community influencing.

She previously worked at the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA).

Khadijah later ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Slice Media Solutions, an advertising agency.

She is a member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and has been featured as one of the Top 50 Women in Marketing & Communication in Nigeria.

Khadijah is known for her philanthropic and gender balance youth development advocacy. She co-founded some social impact initiatives including Water Relief Nigeria, Help Our Youth (HOY), To Better Nigeria & Project: Bridge the Gap.

In January 2022, Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi officially declared her interest to run for the Office of the President of Nigeria in forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Okunnu further reveals that she had the undoubted power to bring the youths together, which would lead to unleashing great potentials in the country.

Her Father, Olufemi-Okunnu was appointed as Leader of the Federal Government Delegation to the Organisation of African Unity Consultative Committee on Nigeria Peace Talks to end the Civil War in 1968 and in 1969, he was appointed Leader of the Nigerian Delegation to the O.A.U. Ministerial Conference.

In 1980, he was member of the Nigerian Delegation to the General Assembly of the U.N.O. He was later appointed as pro-chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi in 1982.
