The Nollywood industry has again been thrown into mourning, as Yoruba veteran actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi, popularly known as Ogunjimi, passes away.

The news of his demise was shared by fellow Yoruba actor Kunle Afod via an Instagram post on Friday, April 26th, 2023.

In his heartfelt message, Kunle Afod wrote, “We tried our best, but God loves you more. May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo.”

At the time of writing this report, the cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
