Siju Iluyomade has been honored by Unilag medical students.

 

 

NewsRain Nigeria reports that there was excitement on Saturday, 14th March 2026 in Lagos when Associated of Medical Students, University of Lagos (AMSUL) specially honored the Convener of Arise Women Foundation, Dr. Siju Iluyomade, during the celebration of its International Women’s Day Conference.

 

The event, which is specifically designed to celebrate women who have been making a great impact in society, was held at the Old Great Hall, Idi-Araba, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). The Association has been a great beneficiary of Arise Women in the past, with Dr. Siju providing support to the students morally and financially to achieve some of their goals.

Dignitaries from all spheres of life witnessed the auspicious gathering as the theme of this year’s IWD ‘Give To Gain’ was reverberated by Dr. Siju Iluyomade, who spoke glowingly on the need for the students to be focused and ready to make a great impact in life as they move forward.

 

Speaking on the day to the future Doctors, the delectable Lawyer of decades says, “You are leaders of tomorrow, you must espouse self-confidence, purpose, and be truly inspiring in your attitude.”

 

Dr. Siju, who was presented with a special recognition award for her unrelenting and focused collaboration with the medical community, expressed her deep appreciation to the Association of Medical Students, University of Lagos (AMSUL) International Women’s Day Conference 2026.

 

In her words after the event, “The gathering was a beautiful platform dedicated to empowering young women through leadership conversations, mentorship, and meaningful community engagement.

 

I reminded them that true leadership begins with knowing who you are, nurturing your values, and courageously stepping into your purpose. When young women are confident and guided, they become powerful agents of change in society.’

 

She expressed enthusiasm to AMSUL for continuing to invest in the growth, welfare, and empowerment of the next generation of women in medicine.

 

Arise, Women has been a great supporter of the health sector both at the national and state level, providing health facilities like building of hospitals, provision of Ambulances, regular free medical care, and so many more.
