Latest NPower & NASIMS News Today 5th August 2023

Welcome to News Rain Nigeria Npower Updates today. we have compiled recent happenings in Npower platform, including recruitment, Npower portal, Npower Stipends, and the validation process.

NASIMS Commence Massive Payment of Batch C2 Outstanding Stipends

NASIMS, a unit within the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development responsible for overseeing the Npower Programme, has made significant progress in disbursing long-awaited stipends to Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries.

The disbursement process began on Tuesday through the new Self-Service Portal (SSP) at ssp.nasims.gov.ng, which was introduced to streamline the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) and provide beneficiaries with seamless access to services, including stipend payments.

NASIMS is also actively addressing the backlog of outstanding stipend payments for October, November, and December 2022.

This includes the recently shortlisted Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries who completed the validation process in June and early July 2023.

While beneficiaries can expect the payment to be credited to their respective bank accounts, the timing may vary due to the use of different bank accounts. However, the estimated processing time is not expected to exceed 48 hours.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to be patient during the disbursement process to avoid unnecessary stress.

To stay informed about the status of their stipend payment, they should closely monitor the new Self Service Portal.

This will enable them to know which months have been paid, are in processing, or have encountered payment issues. Beneficiaries can also lodge complaints through the NASIMS SSP Portal or verified Npower Social Media Handles.

Latest NASIMS News Regarding SSP Portal

Npower Beneficiaries are currently experiencing a concerning situation due to the ongoing Nasims portal updates. Recently, Npower shared an update indicating crucial changes and improvements to the Nasims portal. While this was initially seen as progress, unintended consequences have emerged, causing dismay among existing beneficiaries.

A major issue is the alterations to beneficiaries’ profiles. Some who had been receiving stipends regularly for three months now find their status changed to “applicants,” leading to understandable concerns and unhappiness.

In response to the frustration, Npower management urges beneficiaries to be patient during the updates and avoid editing or uploading new information for now. Making further changes during this process could exacerbate the situation.
