Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, has confirmed that the Peoples Democratic Party candidate Seriake Dickson and Moses Cleopas are the most suitable candidates for the forthcoming Bayelsa West and Bayelsa Central Senatorial Bye-Elections.
Douye Diri added that the PDP carefully selected its candidates for the Central and West Senatorial Districts bye-elections slated for 31st, of October.
Governor Diri, also noted that his predecessor, Seriake Dickson, and the immediate past chairman of the party, Moses Cleopas, emerged as candidates for Bayelsa West and Bayelsa Central senatorial districts respectively.
Diri in a press statement that was issued and signed by his acting Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, noted that he applauds the transparent and peaceful conduct of the primary elections that were held in Yenagoa and Sagbama, the headquarters of Central and West Senatorial districts.
Diri however expressed his satisfaction with the process and commended the aspirants and delegates for their orderly conduct throughout the primary elections.
Governor Diri also called on members of the party to close ranks and work for the success of its candidates in the forthcoming senatorial bye-elections.
He also expressed the confidence that the PDP would emerge victorious in both elections, while also congratulated Dickson and Moses Cleopas, describing them as the perfect choice to emerge as candidates.
