JAMB registration for the 2023 UTME/DE examination has begun. Here is the JAMB UTME/DE registration procedure and process flow for the 2023 exercise.
Details on how to successfully register for 2023 UTME have been released. Selling of e-pins and registration begins January 14th and ends February 14th.
The exam begins on Saturday 29th April, 2023 and ends on Friday, 12th May, 2023 while foreign centres’ UTME is scheduled for Monday, 30th May, 2023 at all 9 foreign centres.

Full Step-By-Step Guide To Register For JAMB 2023 UTME/DE Registration
REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR UTME ONLY (Candidates are to have valid and functional personal e-mail addresses before commencing the process)
The period of registration for UTME candidates including those from Foreign Countries is from Saturday, 14 January, 2023 to Tuesday, 14 February,2023.
PIN vending for UTME ends on Tuesday, 14 February, 2023 while registration closes on Friday, 17 February, 2023.
REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY (Candidates are to have valid and functional personal e-mail address before commencing the process)
Direct Entry application would commence from Monday, 20 February to Thursday 20 April, 2023. Registration for DE would only be at the Board’s State and Zonal Offices.
ELIGIBILITY CHECKER
Candidates are advised to check their eligibility for chosen programmes and institutions on ibass.jamb.gov.ng. It is important that candidates check the requirements before commencing the application process. The eligibility checker assists candidates with options of programmes (courses) based on their qualifications.
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes are five (5) O’Level Credit passes including English Language. In addition, credit in Mathematics is required for science-based and social science programmes.
DIRECT ENTRY
Candidates with any of the following qualifications may be considered for admission through Direct Entry:
(a) A minimum of O’level credit pass in five (5) SSSC subjects at not more than two sittings with at least two prescribed subjects for each programme (course of study) at Principal or Advanced level…....READ MORE
JAMB 2023 Official Registration And Exams Date Announced
Candidates will be expected to pay the sum of N1000 service charge to the Computer-Based Test centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration to prevent a situation where candidates would indicate their interest to sit the mock-UTME leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination.
The details of the steps required to successfully register for the exam will be provided just before registration begins on 14th January, 2023. 2023 UTME Candidates Can Generate Their Profile Codes Now – JAMB
News Rain Nigeria reports that as part of its measure to ensure seamless 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) Registration through the elimination of bottlenecks, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed prospective candidates that they can generate their profile code now, and save such for use when registration commenced.

7 Things To Note Before JAMB Registration Begins On Saturday, 14th January
So this post will guide you on the few things you need to be doing at the moment while we wait for the commencement of the UTME sales of form and registration.
1. Get your National Identification Number (NIN): Based on previous reports, NIN may likely be a compulsory requirement for the UTME/DE registration. In case you do not have yours yet and you intend to register for the UTME/DE, we advise you quickly get it ready.
2. Create your JAMB registration profile code: A ten-character profile code is now required by JAMB before any candidates can be successfully registered for UTME. To generate the profile code, you are required to send your NIN, through a registered phone number to a provided shortcode. You are advised to create your profile code before registration begins to enable you to avoid the rush and prevent anxiety.
4. Know the School You Intend to Apply to: Just like in choosing a course, you need to equally know beforehand the institution you want to apply for. Your criteria in choosing one should be based on whether the school offers the course you intend to study, the admission requirements of the school, the school fees as well as other personal preferences e.g location etc. Please note that for a successful registration, you should have a choice each for other institutions such as polytechnic or college of education.
5. Know the subject combination for your course: Many students make this mistake by choosing the wrong subject combinations for their course. If you want to avoid any form of mistake, use “The JAMB Brochure”, to see the required subject combination for the various courses before registration begins. Jamb News: How Applicants Can Pay For 2023 UTME Using eNaira
The Joint Admissions Administration Board, JAMB has collaborated with the Central Bank of Nigeria to make e-naira the preferred payment mode chosen for 2023 UTME registration.
CBN also said the development would eliminate extortion of candidates.
